This workshop is geared towards students in the Columbia Community who have lived experiences with Anti-APIDA bias or discrimination and/or are interested in learning more about the experiences of their peers across Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) communities.
Participants will be actively engaged in individual reflections and small group discussions with peers to build community. Topics of discussion will include:
- The current climate for APIDA communities in the United States
- Intersecting identities within the APIDA communities
- Skills and tools to heal and strengthen resilience
- How to take action to challenge bias, build community, and be an ally
