Low-Lapalooza, Mask Making, Campus Conversations, and more! – September 15-25

September 15, 2020

Dear Students,

We hope you are finding ways to meaningfully connect with your friends and classmates and to develop new friendships as the semester continues. Want to decompress with great music and dancing, meet others while making masks for a cause, or develop or deepen your skill to facilitate conversations? There’s something for all Columbia students in the opportunities listed below!

Register for the final week of Columbia Welcome events and others presented by the University Life Events Council and campus partners. Please note: All times are Eastern Standard Time.

Also, consider getting involved in these important efforts through University Life:

  • Become a Wellness Days Ambassador to help promote, plan and staff events, and collaborate with other student leaders to engage in health and well-being dialogue. Sign up to be a Wellness Days Ambassador by Sunday, September 27 at 11:59 PM EST.
  • Become a Sexual Respect Ambassador to help spread the word, engage with other student leaders and contribute ideas to the Columbia Community Citizenship Initiative. Sign up to be a Sexual Respect Ambassador by Sunday, September 27 at 11:59 PM EST.
  • Add your voice to the Keep Our Community Healthy campaign and encourage others to Keep the Columbia Community Health Compact. Fill out this form to let us know how you’d like to get involved.

Visit University Life’s website for a full list of upcoming events — and we hope you’ll join us online for one or more of them! We welcome your ideas and suggestions at [email protected].
