August 17, 2020

Dear Students,

I write to invite you to a University Life Forum: Returning to Campus – What You Need to Know, this Wednesday, Aug. 19 from 11 AM to 12:15 PM (EST) on Zoom. This Forum is especially for students who will be on campus for the Fall term, but everyone is welcome to attend.

During the Forum, you will learn about Columbia’s COVID-19 testing requirements, including where and how to get tested, quarantine protocols, the Columbia Community Health Compact and symptom self-check app, and mental health and self-care during quarantine. You’ll also receive brief updates from Columbia Libraries and information about accessing campus buildings, and we will have plenty of time for Q&A on these topics. Register here.

Our featured panelists are:

  • Melanie Bernitz, Associate Vice President and Medical Director for Columbia Health and Associate Professor of Medicine in the Center for Family and Community Medicine
  • Joseph Defraine Greenwell, Vice President for Student Affairs, University Life
  • Aisha Holder, Clinical Psychologist, Counseling and Psychological Services, Columbia Health
  • Edward McArthur, Vice President, Capital Project Management, Columbia University Facilities and Operations
  • Ann Thornton, Vice Provost and University Librarian

Please submit your questions here or with your event registration. You will receive a Zoom link after registering and in a separate reminder email on Wednesday morning. The event will also be livestreamed on the University Life website and a recording will be posted there later.

I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

In community,

Professor Suzanne B. Goldberg
Executive Vice President for University Life
